The Process

Debate smarter in 3 steps

STEP 01

Load your opponent

Paste their YouTube channel. Solon scans their debate history and builds an intel profile: core positions, common fallacies, rhetorical style. Ready before you face them.

STEP 02

Start your session

Hit Start, enable your mic. Solon listens to your opponent’s speech in real time through your browser, or via our native Electron app for Linux, Windows, and Mac for an optimized experience.

STEP 03

Gain situational awareness

Fallacy alerts fire in under 100ms. Solon flags weak links and patterns as the debate unfolds — enhancing your focus without arguing for you.

Questions

Common questions

What is Gauntlet Live?
Think of Gauntlet Live like a HUD for a fighter jet, or a WoW mod for formal logic. It doesn't argue for you — it simply enhances your situational awareness by flagging fallacies and patterns in real-time while you stay in control of the debate.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Gauntlet Live can run entirely in your browser using the Web Speech API on Chrome and Edge. However, for the best performance and background audio capture, we recommend downloading our native desktop app, available for Linux, Windows, and macOS.
What’s the difference between Gauntlet Live and the Pro tier?
Gauntlet Live gives you fallacy detection, session tracking, and opponent intel. The Pro tier adds Solon-generated specific counter-arguments and full vulnerability analysis — targeted rebuttals rather than just pattern alerts. Contact us for Pro tier access.
How does opponent intel work?
Paste a YouTube channel URL at session setup. Solon fetches their debate videos, analyzes transcripts, and synthesizes a profile: core positions, common fallacies, and rhetorical tendencies. Scans run in the background — usually ready within a few minutes.
What debates does Gauntlet work for?
Any debate. Theological, philosophical, political, scientific, or custom topic. The position configurator lets you tell Solon exactly where you stand, so coaching cards are relevant to your specific argument — not a generic template.
